End-of-Year Meeting and Plant Swap

This is our last meeting of the year, and it’s jam-packed with an array of fantastic activities and opportunities for all attendees. The event will kick off with an exciting tour of the UF Mobile Stroke Wellness Unit, where participants will gain valuable insights into the latest advancements in stroke care and community health initiatives. We will have Circle Shopping, perfect for indulging in some leisurely browsing. Of course, we will also host our much-anticipated plant swap, where members can exchange their beloved plants and gardening tips, all while enjoying some delightful sweet treats that will be provided to enhance our gathering!

In addition to these engaging activities, our very own Steve Provost will be delivering an enlightening talk on Bromeliads, a fascinating group of plants known for their unique beauty and diverse species. His presentation promises to be both educational and inspiring, as he shares his expertise and passion for these remarkable plants. We will begin the meeting with a warm welcome from our President, who will set the tone for the day and highlight the achievements of our group throughout the year. This segment will also include a heartfelt memorial to three of our past members, honoring their contributions and remembering the impact they had on our community.

As part of our meeting, we will conduct the installation of new officers, welcoming fresh leadership to guide us into the upcoming year. This transition is always a momentous occasion, filled with hope and excitement for the future. Furthermore, attendees can look forward to a silent auction, where unique items will be available for bidding, along with a 50/50 raffle that offers a chance to win a cash prize. We will also have an abundance of door prizes to give away, ensuring that everyone has a chance to leave with something special. To wrap up our gathering on a high note, we will conclude with an inspiring message from our newly elected President for the term 2025-2027, who will share her vision and goals for the organization in the years to come. This meeting promises to be a memorable and fulfilling way to close out the year, bringing our community together to celebrate and look forward to what lies ahead!
