For those who might have missed the latest and greatest on the Youth Program's gardening projects, you should check out the pics below as well as the Youth Programs webpage for even more details on all the great work Blanca McNab (as Youth Programs Chairman) has initiated. The teachers and students are equally enthusiastic about the development and growth of their gardens, and now Blanca could use your help to keep the momentum going!

There are 3 school gardens currently being maintained, with different days/times (translate, opportunities!) to help out! Please contact Blanca directly if you can assist on a certain day of the week, or even just the occasional drop-in for 1 day...call or text Blanca at 352-888-3718 or email balbeno@yahoo.com.

School #1: Sydney Lanier, 312 NW 16th Avenue, on Tuesdays from 10am to 11:30am. Students are from 5th to 10th grade and the garden is being maintained throughout the summer as well!

School #2: Howard Bishop, 1901 NE 9th Street, on Tuesdays from 3:45pm to 5pm every 2 weeks. Students cook and eat from the harvest! (Contact Blanca for which weeks!)

School #3: Gainesville High School, 1900 NW 13th Street, on Wednesdays from 3pm to 4:30pm.
