For those who might have missed Blanca McNab's report on the Youth Gardening project, we have attached some photos. Blanca says the project at Sydney Lanier is going great. There are several teachers who are involved and the students are very enthusiastic. As she has mentioned, Sydney Lanier has their own greenhouse which expands what they can accomplish in their garden, and Blanca even hopes to enlarge the garden. The photos show supplies donated by Lowe's, the vegetable seeds they have started in the greenhouse, and seeds and strawberry starts donated by GGC. Also note the kids' artwork that they laminated to identify seedlings.

Blanca works at Sydney Lanier, 312 NW 16th Avenue on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. starting on January 13. The students are from 5th to 10th grade. Please consider volunteering. Call or text Blanca at 352-888-3718 or email balbeno@yahoo.com
